The Salty Cowgirl

A few of my friends have affectionately dubbed me “the salty cowgirl” — a nod to my love for the red dirt and the ocean, an accurate description.

Give me wide open spaces, a country road, a mountain to climb or a windswept beach and I’m happy.

Our little shack at Cheynes Beach is one of my favourite places to be — salty air, sandy feet, family and friends, and life stripped back to the good stuff.

There’ll always be a bit of the Top End and Borden farm girl in me, but these days she’s just as happy by the sea.

What am I actually like as your celebrant?

Relaxed, organised and very comfortable taking the reins when I need to.

I’ll ask lots of questions, get to know you, listen to what you want — and what you absolutely don’t — and then bring it all together. On the day, I’ll settle the nerves, wrangle the wedding party, have a laugh with your guests and make sure you know exactly what’s happening.

When I’m not marrying people…

You’ll find me with my family and friends, planning the next adventure or escaping to our shack at Cheynes.

I love travelling, being outdoors, good company and the kind of days that don’t need much of a plan.
